OUR STORY

Welcome to Le Chêne d’Or. For several years, we dreamed about living in the wine country and guiding our own Chambre d'hotes. In 2017, our dream became reality when we found this amazing property.  After much love and many enjoyable projects, we are delighted to welcome our guests at Le Chêne d’Or.  We look forward to sharing our love for the countryside, food and wine.

We have renovated the property from top to bottom and created contemporary rooms and gites for our guests. The gardens and open spaces will always be an ongoing labor of love with original fruit trees including walnut, lemon and olive trees. Our vegetable garden features seasonal plantings and we are excited to grow, harvest and serve our new crops. From sunrise to sunset we hope you will enjoy the picturesque surroundings with us.

 

Barro has been always been our in-house, practicing chef for family gatherings and parties with friends. He is jazzed about this opportunity to expand his enjoyment of cooking and share his culinary creations with our guests. Katinka, the blossoming pastry chef extraordinaire of the family, will be enriching her skills by serving delicious baked goods fresh from the oven.

 

As you explore Le Chêne d’Or, you might encounter the real owners of the property, our two lovable cats Weezel and Woody. They are always watching over our guests and enjoy sitting in the warm sun. Please feel free to stroll around as much as you would like and our paths may cross while we are busy on one of our treasured projects.
